A friend recently asked us to analyse Shopify.
We obliged, and recorded a video summarizing our analysis.
Shopify provides e-commerce solutions to businesses. Customers sign up for a monthly subscription to Shopify's platform, which allows them to set up a domain name, to create a website, to market their products online etc.
The company also offers payment solutions, shipping services etc. as additional services that customers can sign up for.
Shopify has grown tremendously over the years, and has especially thrived during Covid, as more people have set up online businesses.
We used Warren Buffett's four tenets to analyse the business through a value investing lens.
